Whitey’s Ice Cream’s classic Chipper was awarded top prize at the 2018 World Dairy Expo in the Ice Cream Sandwich category. The Chipper, which is Chocolate Chip Ice Cream in between two homemade chocolate chip cookies, received a composite score of 99.9, which made it the first-place winner.
This contest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, is the only judging contest of its kind in North America, since no other national contest includes all dairy products. Judging was held on August 21-23 at MATC Culinary Arts School in Madison, WI. The winners were announced on October 2 at World Dairy Expo in Madison.
