Look for the Whitey’s Ice Cream booths out at the John Deere Classic. This year’s event is taking place from Wednesday, July 10 – Sunday, July 14.
We will be selling fan-favorites including:
- Moose Tracks® Shake: Vanilla ice cream with heavy fudge swirled throughout, mixed with chocolate covered peanut butter cups.
- Cookies ‘N Cream Shake: Vanilla Shake made with OREO® cookies.
- Cherry Ace: Cherry Slush Float with two dips of Vanilla Ice Cream.
- Mocha Latte Ace: Mocha Crème Freeze with two dips of Vanilla Ice Cream.
- Chipper Sandwich: two homemade chocolate chip cookies with Chocolate Chip Ice Cream in the middle.
- Vanilla Dip: single dip Vanilla Ice Cream cup.

We are thrilled to announce the return of Bix Mix Ice Cream to celebrate multiple anniversaries for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race and events along with the retirement of Ed Froehlich.
Bix Mix was created in 2003 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bix 7 race. The flavor is returning for the month of July to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Quad-City Times Bix 7 and the 40th anniversary and retirement of Ed Froehlich as race director. Bix Mix Ice Cream is French Vanilla Ice Cream with trail mix scattered throughout. The trail mix includes M&M’s, chocolate chips, raisins and Spanish peanuts.
“We are very excited to support the Bix 7 race for the 45th anniversary,” said Jon Tunberg, Whitey’s Ice Cream co-owner. “Also, it is amazing to see what Ed has done to develop this race and to turn this event into one of the premier community events in the country.”
“We’ve been honored to be part of the Bix for so many years and look forward to many more great years,” said Jeff Tunberg, Whitey’s Ice Cream co-owner. To celebrate this monumental year, the flavor will be available at all Whitey’s Ice Cream stores and can be found at several events celebrating the 2019 Bix 7 race.
