We are thrilled to announce the return of Bix Mix Ice Cream to celebrate multiple anniversaries for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race and events along with the retirement of Ed Froehlich.
Bix Mix was created in 2003 to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the Bix 7 race. The flavor is returning for the month of July to celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Quad-City Times Bix 7 and the 40th anniversary and retirement of Ed Froehlich as race director. Bix Mix Ice Cream is French Vanilla Ice Cream with trail mix scattered throughout. The trail mix includes M&M’s, chocolate chips, raisins and Spanish peanuts.
“We are very excited to support the Bix 7 race for the 45th anniversary,” said Jon Tunberg, Whitey’s Ice Cream co-owner. “Also, it is amazing to see what Ed has done to develop this race and to turn this event into one of the premier community events in the country.”

To celebrate this monumental year, the flavor will be available at all Whitey’s Ice Cream stores and can be found at several events celebrating the 2019 Bix 7 race.

Today is Cones for Kids day benefiting Bethany for Children & Families. Buy a cone at any of our stores today and half of the sales will go to Bethany in order to provide mental health, social services and education for children and families in the community.
Bethany provides mental health and social services along with education for children and families in the Quad Cities, giving kids the tools they need to be successful in the future.
